Our bedroom, where we spend most of our time because we cannot heat the entire apartment, has two windows. Each has a view...of walls of other parts of our building. If I crane my neck beside one of the windows, I can see a tiny piece of sky. 
One of the things I like best about our apartment is the stairwell. Seriously. The stairwell is roof-less and when I walk out of our door, I see the sky! Plus, I like the neighbor's huge cactus that I can see above the wall.
