Hurricane Sandy

We are slated to fly out of the Manchester, New Hampshire airport tomorrow afternoon. This is the first time we have ever been exposed to a hurricane. We are quite a ways north of the force of the hurricane, which is pounding New Jersey and New York City. But the winds in our neck of the woods are nothing to sniff at. Our drive over to Manchester, where we are staying the night, was not too bad, but once here we drove through partially flooded streets. And, from our hotel room, we watched three transformers blow. Part of the city is without power. Many of the stores and restaurants closed early. The weather here is mild compared to what the coastal cities are experiencing, though. Sandy is not too happy, that's for sure.
