My legs and back were beginning to complain and Bill mentioned that his knees were aching. Some of the worst roads on the planet must be in Louisiana. Our truck is not a Cadillac. You feel every bump in the road! In some ways, these intense trips are harder on the joints and muscles than airflight, because the trip lasts several days.
We had a short reprieve at the Crawfish Hole, where Bill ate his fill of Cajun crustaceans. I ate his cole slaw and a few French fries. It will be one famished day before I eat mudbugs. I can’t get past the black eyeballs staring at me and the antennae poking up into the atmosphere!
We boon docked at a rest area east of Birmingham. One more day of cross-country travel to go!
