Good Times

We spent this past week at the Minnesota District Camp Meeting. These folks have Camp Meeting the old fashioned way: Campground, tabernacle, dining hall, dorms, campers, tents, ball fields, basketball court...the works. We thoroughly enjoyed the week of teaching, preaching, singing, worship, prayer, and fellowship.

We met Thomas and Dianne Andrews, who invited us to minister to the church they pastor. So yesterday found us at Calvary UPC in Bloomington, an area of Minneapolis. What a great group of people. We had a wonderful time and rejoice for one man who received the Holy Ghost and Thelma, who was baptized in Jesus' name Sunday night.

Dianne and I discovered that we are a lot alike. We both like to eat good, healthy food. Both of our personalities require us to withdraw and recharge every once in a while. She and I can't help but notice typos and poor grammar. She is an organizer and so am I.

In addition to discovering our similarities, it was great to "click" so quickly with the Andrews. You know how you can meet someone and it feels like you have known them forever? That's kind of how it was with them. Very cool. We just hope that Dianne has better success at keeping her husband away from those deep-fried green beans!
