Personality Conflicts

There are several different personality types. Some people are outgoing and loud; others are reticent and quiet. Some people are doers; others are thinkers. Some people are warm and open and love big groups; others prefer talking to people one-on-one.

Personality conflicts are inevitable, even in churches and families. You will not “click” with everyone in your life. But that’s okay. It is normal to not “connect” with everyone but you can still be kind to them. Accept that God has blessed us with a variety of personalities to make the world an interesting place.

You might find it helpful to study the major personality types. That way, when someone grates against you and it is nothing more than a personality difference, you can prevent a conflict by not making a mountain out of a molehill.
