Pastor Urshan

This morning, my first waking thought was of Brother Urshan. I was instantly reminded of his passing. But also, I am thankful for his life and all he invested into us throughout the years. Now, it is up to us who have been passed the torch of truth to keep it burning bright for all to see.

We can no longer hear Brother Urshan’s voice, yet his words will forever ring in our minds. Psalm 145:4 says, “One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.” As Brother Urshan praised God with his words and life, so will we endeavor to praise God so that the generation following us will know Him. We must not let fall what Brother Urshan and many others worked so hard to protect. We must hold the torch tightly, protect it with our lives, and "run with patience the race that is set before us" (Hebrews 12:1).

Psalm 78:2-6
I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:
Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.
We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.
For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children:
That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children.
