A Thousand Lives

Several years ago I read a great book about C.B. Dudley - The Man from Miramichi (Word Aflame Press, 1987). He was instrumental in pioneering the work in New Brunswick, Canada.

Here are two quotes I pulled from his autobiography (pages 97 and 77, respectively). They are the kind of quotes that instantly strike me as profound in their simplicity and worthy to be deposited in our memory banks for frequent reflection.

If I had a thousand lives to live,

I would turn them all over to Jesus Christ.

When a person is too busy to pray,

he is busier than God ever intended him to be.
