Bobby and Karen Truscott
.
How would you feel if you'd had nine surgeries in six years, yet you still suffered with chronic pain throughout your body? That was Bobby Truscott's life...until one month ago.
.
Bobby had degenerative disk disease and his knees, back, shoulders, and elbows were all afflicted with arthritic pain. He said that if pain was not in one area of his body, he felt it in another. A wrong move - even a deep cough - could send him to his knees and grant him a visit to the emergency room. He had a bulging disk in his neck. Doctors told him that 48% of his body was disabled.
.
After one of his elbow surgeries, a doctor told him that he would never be without pain. To manage his pain, he took 130 pills a month - Lortab and ibuprofen. In May, due to extenuating circumstances, he had to stop taking the Lortab but doubled up on the ibuprofen, attempting to counteract the pain. His pain prohibited him from attending half of the church services. Though he certainly would have qualified for disability, he continued working despite the pain. His wife Karen remarked that when he got home, he would usually have to go straight to bed.
.
God is still a miracle worker! One month ago - September 24 - Bill preached in Duluth about healing, encouraging people with Scriptures and testimonies to simply believe that God wanted to heal their bodies. Bobby swallowed it - hook, line, and sinker. For some time, God had been building his faith and preparing him for his miracle. Also, not long before the 24th, Karen told Bobby that she was picturing his healing and had faith that God was going to do a great work.
.
To God be the glory! Bobby has been pain-free for one month, has energy, and can do things easily that were once quite laborious. At 46, several years of his life have been consumed with pain but we give God praise for restoring Bobby's health to him. He is a great God!
