Occasionally, I wonder what it would be like to RV for fun. You know, you've seen the pictures... A smiling couple or family standing beside a campfire with their RV in the background, touring National Parks, exploring the beauty of these grand United States. Sure, they may have occasional issues with their RV, but they have the time to take it to an RV shop for repair because they are using their RV for leisure, not as a work vehicle.
That idyllic life is far removed from ours, but the flip side is that we get to see God do some amazing things as we yield our lives as His vessels. I have memories of God moving on people's lives and these memories are far more precious than RV sightseeing would ever provide. And, although we have trouble with our truck and RV frequently, we still have our own little home and our own bed and we benefit by living with a sense of fulfillment because we are doing God's will and not our own. And that is a priceless benefit, much more than a fair trade.
