Our time in North Carolina is drawing to a close. We have been here long enough to see Spring come to life. For about two weeks, we enjoyed the brilliance of the Bradford pear trees. In this area around Lemon Springs, a tornado damaged wooded areas this time last year. In some places, the wisteria has taken over those dead trees and used a devastating backdrop to create a beautiful scene. The flowering dogwood is in bloom, its white, leafy branches waving in the breeze. The azaleas are also in bloom, some of them a vibrantly fuchsia color. It has been a beautiful Spring.
Our move next Monday will take us to southern Missouri, then on to St. Louis to see our family and visit our home church. We have not been to Missouri in about 11 months. Instead, by the time we get there, we will have been in 25 other states. (Yes, I counted!)
