God Doesn't Wear a Rolex

.
Meet Imelda and Beth, two IBCJ students having a little fun. These are great girls with great attitudes.
.
Prior to a lecture, Imelda gave a devotional. She expounded on Psalm 90:4 and II Peter 3:8. At one point she stated, "God doesn't wear a Rolex." It was a humorous way of explaining that God is not limited by time or space, but He can trascend earthly time to immediately meet our needs. You don't have to make an appointment with Him; He is always available.
.
A few years ago, Imelda was in a Filipino hospital to deliver her second child. There seemed to be complications and she was scared. Most Filipinos are Catholics, and so was Imelda. Since she did not have her rosary beads, she prayed directly to Jesus...for the first but not the last time. Just a few minutes later a doctor entered the room. The baby was quickly on the way! Both Imelda and her baby were fine.
.
This nearly immediate answer to prayer convinced her to pursue a more personal relationship with God than she had ever had before. Now, she always has a smile and she understands that, because God doesn't need a Rolex, He is with her everywhere all the time!
