Charlie Kirk

Ever since Cain killed Abel, there have been people like Cain who have attacked and killed other people because of their own sin. Abel was doing the right thing. Cain was not. Rather than repent, Cain chose to kill his brother. 

 

Charlie Kirk was killed yesterday. 

 

While we do not yet know the motive of the killer, we do know that Charlie Kirk has been hated for years by the liberal left in America. He stood for human values of life and liberty. He was not afraid to speak the truth, no matter how much he was reviled. He gave people who already shared his beliefs a voice. He affirmed what people already believed about morality, biblical principles, and the value of family and human life. He was not, as a British newspaper purports, a pied piper. No, he was actually reflecting what many of us Americans already believed. 

 

I do not believe Charlie was trying to be divisive. On the other hand, I think he was trying to bring unity to America, to unify us around the right things, to restore a desire for righteousness. 

 

When people are consumed with guilt but they refuse to repent, they often point fingers at people who are doing the right thing.

This is a very tragic time in the history of the United States. May God help us and give our nation a heart of repentance.
