Disciples

When it comes to developing our Christian character, the moment we stop learning is the moment we start dying

Jesus asked people to follow Him and become his disciples. He had much to teach them but they had to be willing to learn.

To be a disciple of Jesus means to be His follower, His student, someone who learns from Him.

We can drop out of Jesus' school, but we cannot actually graduate. He has so much to teach us that we will have things to learn the rest of our lives.

He wants to teach us about His identity and about His Kingdom. He wants us to weed out of our lives every false ideology and wrong thought that is imbedded in our minds from the teachings of others that we have listened to and followed. This takes time and a commitment to follow Jesus wherever He leads, regardless of how uncomfortable it may be at times.

I want to be Jesus' student for life. Whatever He wants to teach me about His Kingdom, about myself, about my character, I want to be willing to learn.

How about you?
