Stylish Modesty

Modesty does not have to be synonymous with frumpiness and dowdiness. I personally know a lot of ladies and teenage girls who are stylish and modest. It is possible to be both!

In fact, these days, it is easy to achieve stylish modesty. There are a number of online stores that sell modest clothing. They range from The Modist, an expensive, upscale online boutique (anyone have $2,500.00 to spend on a new skirt?) to numerous other websites selling much more affordable modest clothing.

There are also online companies that sell clothes marketed as “apostolic clothing.” My hat is off to these girls and ladies who have created their own businesses making modest clothing accessible online. The models they use are beautiful apostolic girls and women. They are testimonies to the ability of a woman to present herself as lovely, fashionable, and modest all at the same time.

I think it is worthwhile to point out that, while apostolic Pentecostal women do dress modestly, we are not alone. In fact, there are many companies founded and supported by various Christian denominations and even other religions that design and produce modest clothing, swimwear, and sports garments.
