Our prior president left questions in my mind as to his national allegiance. At a time when gray is acceptable and black-and-white is derided, I am grateful that at least one man - now our political leader - makes no apologies for his love for the USA and his desire to ensure its sovereignty.
Patriotism is an unpopular topic. After all, we have been inundated with propaganda in favor of wealth-sharing and global oneness. This ideology, which seems virtuous on the surface, has the inevitable result of decimating the very values upon which America was established.
Donald J. Trump is not a perfect person. He has flaws, some of which are obvious. Yet, God used King David as well and his life too was far from perfect. I am pleased that President Trump acknowledges the God of the Bible during his speeches. This also is refreshing.
We must pray for our new administration. God knows the challenges they will face and the many obstacles and even temptations that will come their way. I love the USA and desire God to once again bless our country but this will only happen as we humble ourselves before Him and follow Him. Perhaps God will use President Trump's bold, unapologetic patriotism to fulfill His purpose for our great and wonderful country.
God, bless the USA!
